Favorite Conference: AMMUN XVIII
Since I was young, I would always listen to my parents speaking and arguing about world affairs, especially considering that most of Jordan’s neighboring countries have been experiencing political conflicts for a long time, which increased my interest and curiosity towards politics. I had no knowledge of MUN before 8th grade, which is when my siblings encouraged me to participate unaware of what it was. My first experience in AMMUN XVII was in the Human Rights Commission, a conference that I was not fond of. However, when I discovered the International Court of Justice, my interest in MUN only grew larger as I was able to practice my research and debating skills to the greatest extent as an advocate. Ever since, my interest in MUN eventually developed into a passion for law, which motivated me to participate in other court conferences. As a young student, MUN has really improved my overall skillset as it has offered me opportunities to share my opinion and speak, form professional and friendly relationships with students, teachers, and international delegates enabling me to enjoy myself and grow at the same time.
